Biennial Faculty Art Exhibit

This really expected exhibit operates from April 1 to May 10. The opening reception is on April 8. Artists featured involve Donya Allison, Ashley Edgerton, Mike Gesiakowski, Jessica Hunt, and Andrew Newman ’87. The exhibit will include things like ceramics, drawings, photography, and sculpture.

Donya Allison’s massive-scale pictures attract inspiration from 17th-century Dutch still-everyday living paintings. The function proceeds Allison’s investigations into our difficult connection with animals, specifically our use and exploitation.

Allison has taught Portray, Drawing, Printmaking, and Intensive Scientific tests Artwork at JBS given that 2000. She is also the director of galleries and curator of the Lasting Assortment of Fantastic Artwork.

Hunt has been teaching Sculpture at JBS because 2018. She is co-director of the Bonsack Gallery, a JBS Cultural Competency Coach, and a faculty co-sponsor of the Queer Reads Book Club and the Gender Equity Organization.

Andrew Newman will exhibit coloration images from his “50th Yr” collection, a selection of selfies he established, just one a working day, for the duration of the yr he turned 50 several years old. The series explores the which means of lifestyle.
