COLONIAL HEIGHTS — In honor of Historic Backyard Week, Aspect Avenue Gallery provides “Virginia in Bloom.” The juried all media artwork present incorporates entries with floral, landscape and backyard scenes.
Saturday on opening working day, Rosecrest Backyard Club exhibited floral types impressed by artwork in the exhibit.
As attendees arrived, Artist Henry Kidd, Aspect Avenue Gallery President, led them to the space loaded with hometown artists’ and artisans’ entries. He supplied friends with voting guidelines and refreshments.
Colonial Heights citizens Donna Neatrour and her 21-yr-aged granddaughter Paisley Loucks frequented the artwork demonstrate together.
“Paisley experienced artwork on screen here in high school,” Neatrour stated. “She would like to be an art trainer.”
Aspect Street Gallery artwork students, Cindy Hamlin of Chester and Ann Allen of Colonial Heights, spent quality time talking with artists who submitted entries. The two artists, Hamlin and Allen, have concluded graphite pencil course projects on exhibit at the gallery.

The “Virginia in Bloom” artwork exhibit finishes Saturday, May 28. To watch clearly show entries, take a look at the gallery at 135 Pickwick Avenue in Colonial Heights Tuesday – Friday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
About 50 fine artists and artisans have authentic paintings, prints, pottery, pictures, jewelry, woodwork and stained glass for sale at the nonprofit art gallery and boutique. For additional details, observe on Fb @sidestreetartgallery.
